Testing Procedure & Preparation Policy
Be Prepared for Your Test
Students planning to advance in rank must review and follow the testing procedures below to ensure a smooth and successful testing experience.
Testing Requirements
1. Registration
Students must be registered in advance to participate in testing.
2. Check-In Materials
Students are required to bring their binder to check-in on testing day.
3. Technical Knowledge
Students must know all required techniques on both the left and right sides appropriate for their rank.
4. Creeds
Students must know and be able to recite the creeds required for their rank.
5. History & Rank Knowledge
Students must demonstrate knowledge of martial arts history, their current belt, and the next belt they are testing for.
6. Instructor Notification
Students must notify their instructor of their intent to test date mm/dd/yy.
7. Uniform & Belt
Students must arrive in full uniform and know how to properly tie their belt.
8. Formal Testing Requirement
Formal testing is required for Blue Belt and above. Students testing for Orange Belt or below will not participate in a formal test and will receive a Hot Card recognizing attendance, effort, and hard work in class.
